Jackson's South Park is a great place to go hike anytime of the year. The bugs are nasty in the summer, so fall and winter are my favorite. This hike will take you to a very scenic part of the park, near Shady Hollow Lake. It has always been tradition to run down to this lake before a big track or cross country meet, make inspirational speeches, and throw in a pebble to make a wish. So make a wish while you are down here!! Or maybe just enjoy the scenery and clear waters.
The best parking for this cache is behind the practice soccer / baseball fields behind the Jackson High School baseball stadium. There is a one way counterclockwise loop road!
