An easy-ish find that involves Country Footpath walking. Part of my series of "Water" caches. Of which this is number 4.
Re-located due to problems - harder, in my view in its new home - hope people enjoy the hunt! WOOPS: forgot to leave a pencil - please note and beware: I will leave one in due course. Sorry. You can approach this hide from the road where there is parking for one car - if you are sensible - on Longlane between the villages of Longlane and Longford. Finger-posts are present in a couple of cross-over paths but the closest route for this one is not shown and involves opening (using a chain) a metal gate. Please close it behind you. Use the 1:25 000 O/S map for good detail. Then it is an easy straight line to the cache...crossing two fields. Co-ordinates are given for two car park locations: one on the road, the nearest: Car parking 1: N 52 56.380 W 001 38.946 The other further away half-mile from the location: Car parking 2: N 52 56.145 W 001 39.111 Seriously wet muddy fields etc are involved so come prepared. Please be thoughtful and sensible about your parking, in both instances - this is rural and field access may be required at any time. The intrepid ones among you can go on to Hollington by field - you will definitely need the map (and Wellies!!) to find the path and then make your way to "Water-Flowing" and then returning via more paths to Longford and then car parking 2 (this will take you 3-4 hours): don't park in car parking 1 for any longer than it takes to go straight to this cache and back (?approx 30 mins) - please.
