Geocache Description:

In one corner of Cherry Creek Park is the trailhead to this cache. The cache is a fair hike from the park, but not far off the main trail. The trail is very good and takes you to within 100 yards of the cache. Included in the additional hints are some suggested coordinates for a trail exit that would help you get to the cache without bushwhacking.

There was a cache at this approximate location before this one. It was called “Thar be beavers here!”. When that cache was first hidden, the beavers had done their damage, but the tree was still living, although its bark had been girdled by the beavers.

That was a few years ago and now the tree has perished. The remains are still an interesting sight, along with the view of the nearby creek. Who knows, maybe the beavers will be back.

The cache is a 50 cal. ammo box with rattle can camo and filled with many cool trade items and an FTF reward.

***Norman parks are closed from dusk 'til dawn***

**CONGRATULATIONS TO joylee FOR FTF!!**
