Geocache Description:

Our Missy was a great cat! She was almost 18 years old when she passed away last month. We got her when she was about 6 months old from one of my son's friends who couldn't keep her anymore. She was an indoor/outdoor cat while she lived with that family but when we took her in we wanted her to be an indoor cat along with the other 3 cats we had in our household at that time. After a month it was clear she was a loner cat, didn't get along with the others. Preferred the company of people so we had put her outside and had a little house made for her. Having to get used to the outside again, the first week when we went to sleep at night we would find her at our bedroom window, which is on the second floor, lol! Still can't figure out how she got up there! Some days we would find her on the roof of the garage, which isn't attached to the house! One time we found her way up in a tree, a dog had chased her up there and Danny got the ladder and brought her down. After about a month she adapted to the outside world again and only 1 time after that we found her way up that tree again but was told that if she could get up there she could get down from there so we left her be and she did come down on her own!
She was a good cat in the way that she didn't wander the neighborhood. She pretty much stayed in the yard and would greet people who walked by the house and always greeted the mailman too! When any of us came home she was always there running up to the car and greeted us warmly!
Yes, she brought presents to our doorstep, the typical birds and snakes and field mice in her younger years!
In the Winter time when it was snowing or very cold we would 'force' her into the house. Though she would try and run away from us trying to grab her to put her inside we didn't want her to get so cold and would keep her in the bedroom/bathroom and after a day she was so comfy and happy that she got even more attention then before!
In her older years she still would greet the people and mailman passing by when the 'Bully' cat next door wasn't out as he would pester her a lot and she didn't like that. She got slower in later days and in her last few months she would lay in the plant box on the porch and growl at the mailman when he came up to the porch!
She was such a joy to us and I'm sure fellow cat lovers have similar tales to tell that they may want to log in with their find!
We miss her dearly and decided to make this cache as our memorial to her. We're sure she's in 'Cat heaven' having fun!

Cache is one of those throw away type microwave containers which eventually we will replace with a sturdier one. We did put some camo on it but it shouldn't be difficult to find. It's about 35 feet off the trail, just minor bushwhacking involved.
Please make sure container is sealed properly when you place it back into it's hiding spot and cover well. As you know please use stealth!
There's some cat toys in this cache and also the usual swag.
FTF gets a dollar with our name on it, lol! We forgot to buy a scratch off ticket on the way to this place so that was the best we could do! FTF go get yourself a scratch off ticket and good luck to you! Happy Hunting!
