A nice cache placed near Poacher's Landing. Off one of the many trails that interlace through this beautiful area. This area is next to the Athabasca River.
*This can be a tricky cache since your GPSr accuracy can wander a lot in this area.
You are looking for a camo'd ammocan. It is placed a couple of minutes off of one of the trails leading from the main staging area. There is a little bit of bushwacking involved however the brush is older so it isn't thorny or dense. Accuracy at time of placement was 5 meters.
I have included a parking waypoint which is at the center of the rec area with parking, outhouses, camp sites etc.
Poachers' Landing Provincial Recreation Area
Beautiful area to go fishing, trail riding, hiking, fishing, horseback riding (bring your own) - fenced corral available. There are ramps for unloading ATV's. There is also parking for boat trailers - I am unsure as to how deep the ramp/gravel gets for the boats.
There is a camp kitchen (rough) which provides cover for day use cooking and there are picnic tables throughout the area.
There is also some play area / small playground equipment for kids.
There are trails all through this area which provide days of fun.

This is a rough camping area. No power available. Large RV's and 5th wheels may have difficulty maneuvering through here so I don't recommend them. Part of the reason the area is so attractive to me ;)
