Geocache Description:

The ammo container is hidden at a scenic view site overlooking the Stanislaus River.

It is a 12 mi drive from Columbia to the trailhead mostly on gravel or dirt roads. In wet conditions only 4WD vehicles would make it however even when it is dry I would recommend to take one and even then you might not be comfortable to go all the way with your car to avoid scratching your paint. I did not do it myself and parked at waypoint 02.

If you only have a 2WD at hand you still can make it in dry conditions without major problems to waypoint 04. This will add another 1.5 mi one way to your trip but it is a nice hike on a rarely used forest road.

Scenic view

Once you reached the trailhead it is about a 1/2 hour trip to Ground Zero maybe a little bit more for the way back. The steep trail leads through Poison Oaks however you can avoid it. Bring plenty of water and some snacks to enjoy a picnic at the cache site.

Please hide the cache carefully the same way you found it as the cache site seems also to be visited by muggles.
