Geocache Description:

The Green Lantern. The possessor of a power ring that, for 24 hours, converts the user's will power into a controllable energy of almost limitless possibilities. Granted to only those who show no fear, the Guardians of the Universe created the rings as the main tool of an interstellar police force... The Green Lantern Corps.

Welcome to the RING Garden.
A VERY beautiful little garden in the middle of a VERY busy intersection. This garden is also known as the Lt. William Tighe Triangle. The RING Garden is only open on Saturday mornings and a few weekday evenings for a few hours. If you can get in, you will be amazed at what is done with such little space.

Cache is a NANO. SInce it's a nano, the hint will be very helpful. Entrance to the garden is NOT necessary to retrieve cache, but stealth (during the day) is. PLEASE BE STEALTHY! BYOP!

There have been many wearers of the ring. All have been individuals "without fear" or rather "showed great ability to dispel their own fear".

In the Golden Age, Alan Scott was an engineer who found a magic lantern, for which he made a ring to better control it's energies. His was the only magic lantern. All of the others are based on technology (science).

The Silver Age brought Hal Jordan, test pilot. He encounters a dying alien who deems him worthy and passes his ring and lantern to him. Hal Jordan is probably the most famous of all the Green Lanterns, even within the comic book stories.

A few other Green Lanterns from Earth: Guy Gardner, John Stewart and Kyle Rayner.

In addition to the Green Lantern Corps there are other "lantern corps" which have begun to appear. They are all going to battle in the war of the "Blackest Night". They are based on the "emotional color spectrum":

The Sinestro Corps (yellow) -whose rings and lanterns are based on fear.
The Red Lantern Corp (red) -whose rings and lanterns are based on hate and rage.
The Star Sapphire Corps (violet) -whose rings and lanterns are based on love.
The Orange Corps (orange) -whose rings and lanterns are based on greed.
The Indigo Corp (indigo) -whose rings and lanterns are based on compassion.
The Blue Lantern Corps (blue) -whose rings and lanterns are based on hope.
The Black Lantern Corps (black) -whose wearers are all deceased, based on the absence of emotion and life.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL when replacing this one. Replace exactly where it was found, as NOT EVERYTHING IS MAGNETIC! Double check before you let go.
