I've
decided that this set of caches have run their course so will
archive them in order to free up the area for new caches. The
caches will remain active until 01/02/2010

Ciphers Overview
This is a
series of 7 puzzle caches based on different ciphers. The caches
are
- 421 Ciphers - Train barrier (Micro)
- 421 Ciphers - Rich Pie Revenge (Micro)
- 421 Ciphers - Dial P for Puzzle
(Micro)
- 421 Ciphers - Hyp Prairie Calf (Micro)
- 421 Ciphers – It’s here somewhere
(Small)
- 421 Ciphers – It’s somewhere here
(Small)
- 421 Ciphers - Red Hickory Pew (Regular)
Caches 1,
2, 3 & 4 contain sufficient
information in their description for you to work out the correct
co-ordinates and a hint before you go out to find the actual
caches.
Cache 5
and 6 do not have to be deciphered but the correct co-ordinates for
cache 5 are located in caches 1 & 2. Similarly the correct
co-ordinates for cache 6 are located in caches 3 &
4.
Cache 7
needs two keywords from caches 5 & 6 before you can decipher
the correct co-ordinates.
I have
included a grid for cache 7 for you to take with you so you can
decipher the text whilst out and about.
A clue to
the cipher used in caches 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7 are contained within
the cache name, either as an anagram or cryptic clue.
I have
also designed the location of the caches so that, if you start at
the suggested parking location at N53 34.019 W3 00.816, you do the
4 micro caches on your outward journey and the other 3 on the way
back. From parking location to the furthest cache and back is about
3 miles.
The caches
are located along the Trans Pennine Trail giving access to walkers
and cyclists.
