This cache was situated on the Kololo Walking Trail, but since the trail has now been closed, the cache has been moved to the entrance to Bush Lodge. Sadly there have not been many finds over the last few years due to the fact that the original GZ is now strictly out of bounds. A few of the rangers knew about its whereabouts eg Solly, but the Reserve manager requested we move this cache. I have therefore adopted this cache from Zouga, as I visit Mabula on week 27 each year and am able to check it out. This cache is ideal for Mabula Lodge Timeshare owners (both Modjadji & Sunset Hill) but I am sure that day visitors to the lodge would be able to attempt this cache as well.
The cache is now a PET preform containing the log sheet that was placed 2 years ago. It has therefore become a quick roadside cache, and although you should not wonder down the roads on foot, this one is close enough to park alongside and should be a quick retrieve. Rather listen out for other vehicles and find this when the way is clear ! Sorry to the previous finders of this cache as it is not as exciting as it was and the ratings have become easier. It is more out of necessity to keep the cache alive, and this new roadside position seemed the next best option!
