A very short multi-stage cache suitable for children and people who do not want to walk far.
Hornsea is a small seaside town with the traditional attractions of a good beach and plenty of open spaces. At the heart of the town lies Hall Garth Park which is probably larger than the town centre itself.
Start at N 53 54.696 W 000 09.966.
Here you will find Hornsea Town Hall which must be one of the smallest town halls in the country. It was originally the town's lifeboat house. What is the number on the window with the ship image? This is AB.
Walk north and down Cliff Road to N 53 54.826 W 000 09.969 to the entrance to Hall Garth Park. Here there is an invitation to look closer at the gates. How many words on the sign? (Answer = CD)
Enter the park and let the children in your family (big or small ) enjoy the play park and/or skate park before heading on to find the cache at:
N 53 54.(B-A) B (A+C)
W 000 10. (A+C) (D-3) C
Wondering what the metal posts that look like plant containers with chains attached were all about? These are goals for disc golf - a form of taget golf using frisbees. why not bring a frisbee and have a go.
