Geocache Description:

Life goes on day after day
Hearts torn in every way
So ferry 'cross the Mersey
'cause this land's the place I love
and here I'll stay
People they rush everywhere
Each with their own secret care
So ferry 'cross the Mersey
and always take me there
The place I love
People around every corner
They seem to smile and say
We don't care what your name is boy
We'll never turn you away
So I'll continue to say
Here I always will stay
So ferry 'cross the Mersey
'cause this land's the place I love
and here I'll stay
and here I'll stay
Here I'll stay

These are the lyrics to one of the most famous songs by the Gerry and the Pacemakers, released in 1964. The Mersey ferries run between Liverpool Pierhead, Birkenhead Woodside and Seacombe. Hopefully you’ll see one of these ferries during your visit – please take a picture if you do, and post it with your log.

The cache is a micro and only contains a logsheet so please bring your own pencil and write small. This is a very popular area, not only for commuters and those wishing to go on the ferries, but dog walkers, cyclist and those just wishing to see the fabulous Liverpool skyline (personally I think its best viewed at night!). Therefore stealth will be required whilst searching and retrieving. Please replace exactly as found for the next visitor.
