Geocache Description:

Bass River, which separates the towns of Yarmouth and Dennis, bustles with boating activity in the summer and is picturesque any time of year. Home to the Pawkunnakwut Indians and settled by the Quakers, Bass River’s shore in the 19th century was lined with packet ships and small vessels, ship building, rows of salt works extracting salt from the sea, and cordage works.Today Bass River boasts four marinas and is popular with locals and tourists alike. Bass River Park has been under "renovation" for years. Boaters use the park for docking and launching. Slip rentals and kayak rentals are also available. Enjoy the unobstructed view of the river!
