Back on June 1, 2000, there was an airplane that had to make an emergency landing right in this area. Apparently the airplane suffered some mechanical problems which led to the unplanned landing on E. Buckshot Road and E. Trigger Road just across 89A in the Mingus West Subdivision. The pilot and his 2 dogs were uninjured but the airplane suffered substantial damage according to what I have found online. Thought the airplane incident was an interesting enough reason to place a cache here. One of the actors that starred in the movie "Road House" was supposedly the pilot of the airplane. If you haven’t seen the movie, rent it, it’s pretty good. Easy safe parking right off the road. $1.00 for FTF. Bring your own pen/pencil.
