Vingio Park used to be one of a few green oazis in Vilnius where you could get away of a city rush and enjoy the calm stream of Neris peacefully zigzagging through the woods. The new mart growing up by the Southern entrance to the Park will soon turn it to a giant parking lot with crowds of pedestrians marching back and forth with their loaded shopping bags.



Hopefully I am wrong with the predictions, but signs of greenery disappearing are evident.
