How Tall is Mary? Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

The Macho Homemaker: It's been a good run, but this cache is nothing at all like the one I placed, due to changes in the park.

Only the first stage was as it was placed, and the terrain became much harder as the staff stopped mowing the meadows. Where each stage was right next to an existing path when originally placed, most eventually required serious bushwhacking.

Add to that the repeated muggleing of stages (primarily by woodland creatures) requiring nearly constant maintenance...well, you get the picture.

Many thanks to all who have visited this cache. If you are so inclined, the park is now OPEN for someone else...

Geocache Description:

This cache is affectionately dedicated to our good friend and good sport (she let us size her up at the last potluck):
redhedmary

During the October SW MiGO Meet-and-Greet, fishing023 and The Macho Homemaker were engaged in a lively discussion concerning special caches for special cachers.

The best idea we came up with was "Mary's Multi". A carefully designed cache for our favorite vertically challenged cacher.

Then, at the November SW MiGO Meet-and-Greet, we took the joke further.

We had a tape measure.
We had Mary.

In short order, we had the numbers we needed.

So, without further ado, we dedicate this seven-stage multicache to our good friend Mary.

Hints: (unencrypted so Mary doesn't have to decode them on the trail)

Stage 1:     Ankle Biter
Stage 2:     Alexis High
Stage 3:     Waisting Away
Stage 4:     um... ..."Chest" High?
Stage 5:     The Eyes Have It
Stage 6:     Tippy Toes
Final:     Think Like a "Fish"
(And maybe bring a taller friend)

All stages are cleverly concealed carbon copy camoed containers of compact capacity. When you find the first stage, you'll have an idea of what to look for.

The final is a small-sized Lock-N-Lock.

The cache contains a FTF prize for the first finder and a special MTF (Mary to Find) prize. Please leave it for her. (assuming you get there before she does...)

The cache is mostly winter-friendly. Heavy snow may cause a problem with the first stage and, possibly, the final.

Parking is available throughout the year, but during the winter months, you must park in the area outside the gate.
