A five part multi cache with all points accessible year round. This is a fun cache that is family friendly and will introduce you to one of the most serene Audubon preserves. The spring wildflowers are astounding at this preserve. The cabin was remodeled by an Eagle Scout in 2005 and is available for rental year round.
This cache has been placed with permission from Buffalo Audubon Society, contact person on site is Mark Carra, Naturalist.Visit the Beaver Meadow Visitor center just 5 minutes away on Welch Road. Visitor Center hours are year round Tuesday thru Saturday 10AM to 5PM, Sunday 1PM to 5PM. Closed Monday and Major Holidays however the trails are always open.
This cache is not located at the Beaver Meadows location but at another piece of property owned and managed by the Buffalo Audubon Society a few miles away. As always the goal here is to create minimal enviromental impact so please be aware of where you are walking and stay to the trails whenever possible.
Any attempt at this cache during the winter definitely requires the use of either snowshoes or cross country skis (add one to the difficulty level also!).
Dogs are not allowed on any of the Nature Center's trails.
