Geocache Description:

"Shed not for her the bitter tear,

Nor give the heart to vain regret,

Tis but the casket that lies here,

The gem that filled it sparkles yet."

CACHE IS NOT IN THE GRAVEYARD!
It is not around the wall or close to it in the least!
I discovered this hidden gem the other day and wanted to share. Please DO NOT NIGHT CACHE as it backs on to many homes. Hope you enjoy the history here as much as I did.
The Honorable Robert Hamilton died in 1809 and is buried here. For a year, also rested Gereral Sir Isaac Brock who was buried four times! First at Fort George for twelve years, till the first monument was built at Queenston. When the tower was destroyed his bones were moved to this cemetary until the current tower was ready in 1853.
Many important families are also resting here; Dickson, Durand, Jarvis, and Biggar just to name a few.
