Geocache Description:

The cache is near water in the windswept wildwood of West Iron Works Road State Forest, but probably best reached via Silk Farm Road and Lewis Lane. It is not wise to approach this cache from I-89 as you will have to waltz over a wire fence.

What is a wonk? This word wasn't in existence when I was a wee one. The closest thing in the Second Edition of Webster's New Twentieth Century Dictionary of the English Language Unabridged, copyright 1965 (and 5 inches thick), is _wonky_ (a) wonkier, wonkiest: shaky, tottering, feeble

So should we be woebegone or worry that advice given by a policy wonk (is there any other kind?) is shaky or that the folk who actually run Washington are feeble-minded? No, these wily windbags have warped the word. In more modern sources, Wikipedia says a wonk is "a person preoccupied with arcane details or procedures in a specialized field." Wictionary adds "A nerd or an expert" - quite the combination! Yet another source (presumably not written by the overly studious or persnickety) suggests "a stupid, boring, or unattractive person."

One week a wise and wonderful woman wanted the world to write more words. So she wandered into the woods with a wealth of letters which she wished to waft their way into other caches. My cache is thus a descendent of GC17180. My first choice was whimsical, but for the second time I thought it wicked to wish for a winner. So I wiggled my wrist and wangled a letter. (Now I wish I went to the wayzgoose when I had the chance.)

The cache is a wide-mouth jar that can contain small trade items such as washers, wheel weights, and wooden nickels. It is near the now-archived GC183RY "D is for Discombobulation", one of the best cache writeups ever. There are residences nearby so please be discreet in your caching.

The GPS wasn't friendly so I welcome you to post better coordinates, but the location should be obvious from the hint.

There is a special geocoin for FTF to circulate not keep.
