Geocache Description:

The cache container has been replaced again (5/15/18) and is now a small clear container with a lime green top. It contains a new log sheet and a tiny pencil so no excuse for not being able to sign the log. New puzzle due to a new location and new hints.

At the coordinates listed above, you will find a tall granite memorial, dedicated to Meshech Weare. It is flanked by ships cannons, each with its pyramid of cannon balls.

Meshech Weare was among NH's most powerful early leaders. He has been called "The Father of New Hampshire" and was the first "President" of the state in 1784-85, before governors technically existed.

Standing by the monument and looking westward, you will see the First Baptist Church of Hampton Falls, NH. It has all the appearance of a typical, New England church, yet some of it’s unique features have earned it a mention in many “roadside oddities” books and articles.

The most unusual feature is the beer bottle on top of the steeple! According to the locals, a brewery owner donated $50,000 to build the church with the condition that everyone was to know he donated it. The church, worrying about the morality of accepting money from such a sinful source, agreed.
Their solution? To place a beer bottle on top of the steeple!

Beyond the church, is the Governor Weare home. During the Revolutionary War, General Washington once rode from Cambridge to visit Governor Weare here and as he did in so many other places… George Washington slept here!

Near this spot is a small cemetery where Hon. Meshech Weare and many of his family members are buried. There are many gravestones here from the 1700’s.

The cache is also located here, but not in the cemetery or in any of the stone walls that surround the cemetery. Please be respectful of the graves as you pass through.

The coordinates for the final cache, which is located less than a mile away from the Meshech Weare Memorial, are:

N RM° II.EOA W 0L0° IM.EEG

The key for solving the final coordinates is plainly visible while standing in the park.

Good luck!

Note: There are no 9’s or letter O’s in the final coordinates above. All of the zeros are real zeros that do not need to be substituted.

Apparently, there is a letterbox container in the same area that is not associated with this cache. If you find a container that has a stamp and a log book full of finder stamps, please log it separately on Letterboxing.org.
