“INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST”





The Indiana Spirit Quest series of
geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries
built by Hoosier Pioneers or other historic sites. In five years,
the quest has grown to over seven hundred caches hidden in Indiana,
Ohio, Michigan, North Dakota, Georgia, Wisconsin, Minnesota and
Ontario and the hiders have grown to over fifty cacher teams.



Thousands of cacher accounts have logged over 50,000 finds on these
series.

INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST #661



"Little Sammie"



Welcome to Patton Cemetery, in LaPorte County, Indiana.



This cache will take to you an old part of this cemetery known as "South Bank". Also, next to "South Bank" there's an area for infants thus the name of this cache.

When I was walking through this part of the cemetery the small little infant grave simply labeled "Little Sammie" caught my eye and thought it would be dedicated to him as well as all of the nearby veterans.

There are many veterans buried here. Many from the Civil War, World War I and World War II. And let us not forget our "Peace Time" veterans as well.
Take a few minutes while you are here and look at some of these very old gravesites.

Do not disturb monuments. If you find a fallen US flag, please stick it back in the ground.
