Geocache Description:

Lords Seat

On a sunny day in late November a friend suggested a 10 mile walk up Simons Seat. Aha thought I - I can get in a few caches. Shock – horror – there are none up there! Were none – now there are four. Please note that this area (Barden Fell) is Open Access land so can be closed for shooting and/or during grouse breeding season - or for fire risk if we ever get a decent summer again! NO DOGS are allowed at any time. Lords Seat – another great spot though less often visited than Simons. The path between used to be permanently deep bog but the Park (many thanks) have now put in a flag path – and also a stile onto the access land to the east (and Syklothymia). Down the wall south-east from it is Syklophosphamide though you may not feel up to getting to it from here! The cache is a small plastic lock-top just big enough for the log, pencil and a small TB or geocoin. It’s almost on the top of Lords Seat. There are little tracks up and a large cleft to the top. A cave in the cleft is guarded by a large rock and the cache is beneath it. It’s a pretty heavy rock but fully moveable. Please take care replacing so that the box doesn't get cracked. You could bag it without a gps I’m sure. However the co-ords are spot on. You may feel its unsuitable for small children although they can probably get to it better than you and I!
