Notre promenade débute à l'église Saint-Pierre et Paul à Archennes qui conserve la relique de Saint-Ghislain provenant de l'Abbaye de Florival, toute proche. De style néo-gothique, elle fut reconstruite en 1863 sur l'emplacement d'une ancienne église dédiée à Saint-Pierre. Statues de Saint-Ghislain et Saint-Pierre du XVIIIième siècle intéressantes et surtout, fonds baptismaux du XIIième siècle de belle composition romane avec une cuve ornée de quatre têtes humaines. Selon le cadastre le territoire d’Archennes se divise en trois sections: Florival, l’Eglise et la Bruyère de la Motte. Ce village, au sol assez accidenté, est arrosé par la Dyle et ses deux affluents, le Train et le Lembais. Of Neo-Gothic style, it was rebuilt in 1863 on the site of an old church dedicated to Saint-Pierre. Interesting statues of XVIIIième century of Saint-Ghislain and Saint-Pierre and especially, baptismal funds of XIIième century of beautiful Romance composition with tank decorated with four human heads. According to the land register, the territory of Archennes is divided into three sections: Florival, the Church and la Bruyère de la Motte. This village, on the rather broken ground, is watered by Dyle and its two affluents, Train and Lembais.
