A few years ago this area (NW corner) used to be all trees. Now some of them have come down to make way for new housing (56th Pl SW and 8th Ave W) and new power requirements. In a few years from now there will be more development at the gravel pit (Rinkler/Cemex) site, South of here. The plan is to convert the 118 acres into mixed use residential (1,165 single family homes and multiple family structures - 10 to 65 units per acre), 100,000 square feet of commercial/office use and 400,000 square feet of industrial use. It will also include open space areas.
My intent in placing this cache is to create a more difficult and challenging find. So don't go here expecting to find it too quickly or expecting any give-a-way clues. There is street parking down the hill a little on Glenwood or at the near by Everett Fire Department #4. Although it may be tempting, do not park in the driveway here, it is a tow-away zone. As always please don't give the hiding place away to others that haven't found it yet (so they can experience the challenge in finding it too) and avoid mentioning spoilers in your logs. Place it back in the correct hiding spot when your are done. Best of all...Happy hunting.
