Slindon Estate covers 3,500 acres of woodland and agricultural land. This cache set within Slindon Woods can be completed on it’s own or combined with Slindon Avenue (GC1JG3A)and Stumped At Slindon (GC1JG45) for a pleasant walk of around an hour.
The woods are owned by The National Trust and managed with an aim to encourage wildlife. Car parking at Dukes Road provides pedestrian access to a network of paths, most of which are suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. However the cache might be difficult to reach.
This cache was placed with the kind help and permission of Mark Wardle, the Head Warden of the Slindon Estate. Further information about the Slindon Estate and the National Trust can be obtained from www.Nationaltrust.org.uk or the Slindon Estate office.
Tree cover throughout the walk can provide poor GPS signal so clues and titles are as descriptive as possible.
This cache is a small plastic box containing a log book, pencil and swapsies.
We regret once this cache needs maintenance we will collect the container and archive the cache. If any cacher is interested in adopting this cache please contact Nectar Jay.
