This cache is located in an old soccer/sports area which has
recently added a picnic area, playground and facilities "in
season."
A few years ago, the Fairfield High School was rebuilding their
sports field. Our son played soccer, and for one season, they held
their games on the fields opposite the parking area in this small
park. Here, we watched games from bleachers, folding chairs, and
even from our vehicles in the rain. That season held many a fond
memories for all of us, whether student or family.
Now, with an update, this park has become a beautiful picnic and
play area for the sorrounding community. It is nestled away in a
quiet neighborhood no one even knows exists. Here you are only 3/4
of a mile from the Mason-Dixon Line, the official border between
Maryland and Pennsylvania, or the dividing line of the North and
the South!!
This is a great cache for those with limited mobility, families
with children, or cachers who like to bring their dogs. There are
even doggie "clean-up" bags available near the south-west corner of
the parking lot!
