Willow Springs' Gateway Traditional Cache
Iowa Runner: This was our first Cache ever hidden. Twice it has disappeared. We've replaced it once. We believe what has been happening (each time around June) is that it has floated away. It is very near a little stream and sometimes the water comes out of its banks and very likely has caused our cache to come out of its hiding place. Instead of replacing, we will choose to Archive and find another location to place a NEW cache.
Thanks everyone who logged their visits to our cache for making our first HIDE so fun.
Cheers,
Iowa Runner

Park in lot, walk on paved trail, cache slightly off-trail. Easy find. May be covered by snow in winter.
Container is a round camoflauged plastic container with 4 lid latches. This is our first cache to hide. We wanted to make it easy for other beginning cachers like us to find. Original contents all taken. Cache washed away in 2010 summer rains - so re-established in Oct 2010. Re-established new contents include: nail clippers, tweezers, bendable frisbee, magnetic refrigerator clips, superball, squishy brain toy, hackey sack, rocket toy. Nice park nearby for kids to play at, bring tennis rackets and basketballs. Bathrooms are closed for winter. Many restaurants located in West Glen Shopping area nearby and can easily bike/walk there by following walking path. Parking located for park at N 41 34.103' W 093 47.153'
