Geocache Description:

AMTG's first cache.. because of geocahing over 220 people have remembered her. Least we forget.....

ALWAYS use a stick to poke in ANY underbrush in Florida!!! Welcome to the first of AMTG's caches. I will try to make my caches as easy to find (once you follow the instructions and solve any puzzles involved) as possible. They should be large enough to hold SMALL trackables and trade items. The cache is about 7 inches long and about 1.75 inches wide wrapped in black tape. Please try to replace it exactly as found. Please feel free to do any maintenance or email me with any problems as this is my first cache. Only small GCs and TB will fit. I will try to put a trackable in each of my caches as a FTF prize. I suggest you bring the following to ALL of my caches: 1) Your respect: do not damage the environment or disrespect the spirits living here 2) Your imagination to learn about the area and its people 5) I have also tried to make all of my stops informative to those that are visually challenged. The feeling of the inscriptions on the stops, the art, the beauty is all there to be seen with the hands. A visual guide will be needed to help but the rest is up to you! Now for AMTG #1........... This first cache will be easy as I could make it and it is very important to me. This site is near where there is a beautiful young woman who left us way too early. Those that have lived in Gainesville will remember the weeks of terror that were happening at the time she left us. There is a painting on the 34 st wall in her name as well as the others that left us at the same time. I am not going to post a picture of her marker out of respect for the family but please take time to sit at the bench and reflect how life is too short and what a waste it is when someone is taken by such violence. Please think of her and her family. PS: This first cache will not require a compass or measuring tape. The coordinates should be right on the cache. Remember, go there to learn something new, see the beautiful artwork and feel the emotions carved in stone. If you really want to continue to learn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Rolling
