A series of caches in Arcadia
Wildlife Management Area.
Arcadia has turned out to be one of my favorites places to cache
in. It is also a great location to hide caches in...I've got more
than a few active caches here (about 12 at last count, and several
archived!).
Even though gas prices are back closer to sane levels, I thought
it would still be a good idea to hide several new caches that can
all be reached along a single loop of trail, from a single parking
area. There are several parking options...I've posted the
recommended parking coordinates below. You can do them in any
order, in any direction.
There is no hard fast rule that says you have to do these all on
the same trip, but when combined, the series will bring you on a
terrific, 3-4 mile walk. The terrain and scenery is quite varied,
so you definitely won't be getting bored as you take the
stroll.
If you haven't done the other caches in the WMA, be sure to check
them out!
There is a bonus cache that can be
found after finding all of the "Baker's Half Dozen" caches. Inside
the front cover of each log book in the series will be parts of the
final coordinates for
Baker's Half Dozen #6-1/2 - Half Eaten Glazed. As you find each
of the caches, record the digits from the log book. When you have
found all six, you'll have the coordinates for the bonus cache.
Please don't email for any you may have forgotten to write
down!
