Cape Cod Towns - ORLEANS Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

erycka & wichie: Sadly we inform that we have decided to archive Cape Cod Towns series. [:(]
We are glad we were able to get so many people from so many places to go all around the Cape and more trilled every time we got a log from the final one telling us how much they love it. It was a hard decision but after many reasoning we conclude we have to let go. We will leave the final active for a reasonable time for all the people who already started it and were missing few clues and also for those who didn't but want to get an easy smiley. See the attached picture and look for the clue you might be missing. Feel free to contact us if any question! Thanks for all the smiles you put on our faces visiting and enjoying this series!
Happy Caching!

Geocache Description:

A CACHING SERIES THAT COVERS ALL THE CAPE

This is one of 14 caches placed along Cape Cod – one on each town.

Here you don’t only get a smiley but you also get one number for the final town cache which will be released once all 14 are published. Make sure you take note of that number and its position because you will need it to go to the FINAL one. Although some of the numbers may be easy to “guess”, we encourage you to do them all before going for the 15th town to keep up the fun. They will be posted in a random order and will be added to a Bookmark listing as they are being published. So stay tuned, your town may be next.

Cape Cod has many different facets. Each town on the Cape has something unique to offer in the way of natural beauty, history, the arts and in entertainment.

A little bit of history of ORLEANS

Orleans was incorporated in 1797. During the early 1800's the main industries were farming, fishing, whaling and salt making. The windmills that remain on the Cape are a testimony to the saltworks days they were used to pump salt water into shallow vaults for evaporation.

***Noticed how difficult it's been to retreive with muggles around. So we moved a bit to make the grab easier and for the good of the structure. Check out the Coords Change log and the Hint****
