A cache to remember the pioneering spirit of an era gone by.
This cache is located within what is now the Hoopers inlet picnic grounds. In a previous life this was the local school catering for the local children. My step mum who is now in her late 80s attended this school as a young girl. They lived on a farm at the entrance to the track that takes you to the pyramids. As a child she would walk to and from school and remembers well the day her teacher arrived at her house to tell her parents that her time keeping was unsatisfactory. However after walking from the school to the Pyramids she well understood why occasionally Jean would arrive late and never again did Jean get reprimanded.
