Locals refer to this "climb" as the Curry Hill.
The Curry Hill is great travelling from the Bottom End back up the leg - especially at night you get to see the house lights of this "forgotten treasure".
A popular spot for those dependant on mobile phone coverage - Curramulka is one of the "black spots" with little or no coverage so it is common to see cars parked on the hill to make that vital call!
No view of the town from the cache but the town is well worth a visit.
Curraumulka means Emu Watering Hole - so keep a lookout for all the painted emus around the town! The Groms have been involved in the painting of some of them!
