Geocache Description:

Just off of Archer Road, easy park and grab, some stealth required.

As I have always had an interest in mythologies around the world, I thought it would be fun to set up a series of caches based on various mythos. My first series will be based on Greek mythology and the caches will be hidden in places that are somehow associated with that particular mythological figure.

This cache is easy to access except early in the morning (7 AM to about 8 AM) during the week when muggle children gather here to wait for their bus. No bush-wacking required but watch for ants and wasps.

In Greek mythology, Hera was the queen of the gods and wife of Zeus. She was known as the goddess of marriage and protector of women. One myth told of Argus, Hera's hundred eyed giant, whose job it was to spy on Zeus and discover his trysting places. After Argus’ death, Hera honored him by placing his hundred eyes on the tail of the peacock. The peacock thereafter was known as the sacred bird of Hera and was often depicted wandering freely in her temples.

Cache is large enough to hold a log, a few pieces of swag, and/or a few small trackables or small coins. FTF gets a 2008 FTF coin.
