Geocache Description:

Camo'ed container in a public-access area, near but not on park property. CAUTION: Watch for barbed wire in the area.

This cache is located just outside Pleasanton's newest community park. The nearby Alviso Adobe is on property that was part of the old Meadowlark Dairy (1919-1969). The park is open dawn-to-dusk, with buildings open and docents available typically on weekends and holidays. Along the park's walking paths are noted native plants (or plant origins if not native), their names and Native American uses for them. The path also has an imbedded timeline of land occupancy and use. The adobe has been restored and several buildings constructed to depict the old dairy. Signs and pictures detailing history of the land and layout of the dairy operation are available along the path and in the central area of the park.
