Cemetery Hunt
Welcome to the third of AMTG's caches. I will try to make my caches as easy to find (once you follow the instructions and solve any puzzles involved) as possible. They should be large enough to hold SMALL trackables and trade items. The cache is about 7 inches long and about 1.75 inches wide wrapped in black tape. Please try to replace it exactly as found. Please feel free to do any maintenance or email me with any problems. Only small GCs and TB will fit. I will try to put a trackable in each of my caches as a FTF prize.
I suggest you bring the following to ALL of my caches:
1) Your respect: do not damage the environment or disrespect the spirits living here
2) Your imagination to learn about the area and its people
3) A compass
4) A measuring tape if you are mobility challenged (100 foot is best but I use a 200 foot)
5) I have also tried to make all of my stops informative to those that are visually challenged. The feeling of the inscriptions on the stops, the art, the beauty is all there to be seen with the hands. A visual guide will be needed to help but the rest is up to you!
Now for AMTG #3...........
This cemetery is special to the area residents and to many people around the state. You will understand when you arrive at the posted coordinates. Stop and reflect, no hints here sorry, just thoughts to ponder 1) Do you know what the place on the marker is called today? 2) Do you think you know why so many of the spirits are so young?
Now, on with the hunt. going in a direction of 354 degrees travel approx. 87 feet. This will bring you to the actual cache. Please be careful as you can easily be MUGGLED!!!
Look at the picture if you are having trouble getting to the first spot! You can get an "extra credit log" if you do the regular cache thing. Then email me with what the place named on the memorial is now called and I will give you the ability to log the find a second time. You will have earned it by learning about our town.
Bamboozle replaced the cache and elevation (as I am in a wheelchair) on 10/20/2015... it is now hanging in the bush next to the big tree.
There is a GC that I picked up in NO, LA in the cache for the first to find. It needs to keep moving. Ah, now the game is afoot!
PS: Bring a flower for one of the children. Any of the children. They will be happy that someone stopped to say hello. And smiled...Be happy and "take one of the children" along on your hunt.
