Placing this cache as a memorial to Scott Duddles. He was a member of our Outbackers.com forum.
Scott passed away from a heart attack on Oct 26th 2008 and we've placed this cache as a memorial to Scott. We met Scott via our Outbackers.com forum and he and his family recently attended one of our PNW RV Rally's.
Scott enjoyed camping at Beverly Beach with his wife and two children, so we decided this was the best place to place this cache. There are two Travel Bugs located inside the cache and we would like the first two people to find this cache to please send them on their way around the world. There is also a tribute to Scott from his wife, brother and Mom & Dad. Scott’s wife also sent me 3 pictures of Scott and his family to add to this cache, two were taken at Beverly Beach and one at Crane Prairie.
While looking for the location for this cache, we notice a nice "Nursing Tree" about 30 yards off the road. If you're not aware, a "nursing tree" is a tree that has normally died, but provided protection to a new tree while the new tree grows from the Nursing Tree. Knowing this, we thought hiding the cache around this Nursing Tree was the perfect location.
