Geocache Description:

Beautiful 1km walk to this cache - with a great picnic spot at the end!

Of his bones are coral made
Those are pearls that were his eyes
Nothing of him that doth fade,
But doth suffer a sea change

Shakespeare, Tempest

A Sea Change is a marked or profound transformation. Geocaching has provided me with a sea change in the most positive way - I hope it has done the same for you.

This area is in the Coastal Douglas Fir Biogeoclimatic zone and is home to Douglas Fir, Garry Oak and Arbutus trees in what is called a Dry forest area. The Coastal Douglas Fir biogeoclimatic zone is one of the rarest and least protected zone in BC. And these zones contain the largest population of Garry Oaks known. You may see Darkeyed Junkos, Northern flickers, Ruffed grouse and Orange crowned warblers. I was lucky to see a group of Sea Lions frolicking in the surf!
