Geocache Description:

A smallish Lock 'n' Lock container just off a paved path.

The paved trails of Roswell's Big Creek Park have now been connected to the Alpharetta Greenway. I decided to celebrate this by placing a cache near where the two meet. The cache is not far off the trail, so use stealth when leaving the trail and retrieving the cache. The cache is in an obvious place, but is well guarded by thorns.

For the shortest walk (about a third of a mile one way) use the trailhead coordinates (there is parking nearby). If you access the cache through Big Creek Park, you will have a walk of about a mile to the cache. The gates to Big Creek Park are closed at night, so this is not a cache that can be hunted after dark. You can get tantalizingly close to the cache driving by on Mansell Road, but access is impossible from there. There are some great caches in Big Creek Park and on the Greenway, so hit some others while you're in the area.

The container can hold smaller trade items.

Update - 7/13/2010: Yellow jackets have taken up residence at the original cache hiding spot. Avoid poking around in hollow trees here - you won't find a cache there and you may get stung. It's now in a safer location, protected by a low-tech flood-control device. Please re-hide as found.

Another Axmantis FTF - congrats!
