Take the backroads to visit the lakehead of the Wasi River, which traverses Chisholm Township, East Ferris (Astorville) and Callander before emptying into Lake Nipissing. In the summer, you can drive down Laporte Road all the way to the boat launch, but in the winter you must walk down to its location. Whenever you do come, it’s a charming little spot.
