The first cache in Córdoba city.
La primera cache en la ciudad de Córdoba.
ENGLISH
Finding this cache, you will get an amazing view of the historical centre of Córdoba. You may take a walk along the river and relax in the Miraflores Park.
The cache is placed below the Miraflores Bridge in the park. Find the crossing of two paths directly underneath the bridge. The GPS coordinates indicated here may be not very precise, but the cache is very easy to find :-) The cache is an plastic food container.

Cordoba is a city with an enormous heritage of culture and monuments. Due partly to its strategic position on the River Guadalquivir and partly to the wealth of remains left by the different peoples who inhabited the city, Cordoba has become a privileged city in the very heart of the history of the Western World: its vast Caliphal (Arabic) civilization, during the Middle Ages, was the most brilliant in the Europe of its day and forged lasting links between East and West.
For tourists, it is one of the most frequently visited of all Spanish cities, mainly because of its enormous historical interest and artistic heritage. Such influential figures in Roman civilization as the philosopher Seneca or the poet Lucan were born here, and in the 10th century Caliphal (Arabic) Cordoba became the most refined and advanced civilization in Europe where scholars, poets, doctors, philosophers and mystics lived, some of whom achieved world-wide fame, such as the philosopher Averroes or the Jewish doctor Maimonides. The heritage dating from after the Christian conquest is equally impressive: churches, convents, hospitals, palaces and numerous stately homes surround the marvellous, unique building that is the Mosque-Cathedral and make Cordoba one of the greatest monumental cities in Europe. In 1994, the UNESCO recognised the universal importance of the historic buildings in Cordoba, by extending the limits of the World Heritage Site beyond the Mosque itself to include the whole of the historic quarter.

Buscando este cache vas a tener una mirada increible del centro histórico de la ciudad. Puedes pasear a lo largo del río y relajarte en el Parque de Miraflores.
El cache está colocado abajo del Puente de Miraflores en el parque. Encuentra el cruce de dos caminos directamente abajo del puente. Las coordenadas de GPS indicadas aquí pueden ser inexactas, pero es muy fácil encontrar esta cache :-) Se trata de un contenedor de plástico.

Su situación estratégica, cercana al río Guadalquivir y la herencia de los distintos pueblos la han convertido en un lugar privilegiado. Córdoba se encuentra en el corazón de la historia de Occidente: su colosal civilización califal, en plena Edad Media, fue la más brillante de la Europa de su tiempo y tendió un puente entre Oriente y Occidente.
Es una de las capitales españolas más visitadas por los turistas, debido en parte a su portentoso legado histórico y patrimonial, dio a la civilización romana figuras como el filósofo Séneca o el poeta Lucano, la Córdoba califal se convirtió en la ciudad más culta y brillante de Europa durante el siglo X donde vivían sabios, poetas, médicos, filósofos y místicos, algunos tan universales como el filósofo Averroes o el médico judío Maimónides. No menos importancia posee el patrimonio acumulado en la ciudad tras la conquista cristiana. Iglesias, conventos, hospitales, palacios y numerosas casas señoriales arropan esa joya única que es la Mezquita Catedral y hacen de Córdoba una de las grandes ciudades monumentales de Europa. La UNESCO reconoció en 1994 la importancia universal de los bienes históricos cordobeses, ampliando el título de Patrimonio de la Humanidad no sólo a la Mezquita - Catedral sino a su casco antiguo.
