Geocache Description:

The cache is found at North Stoneham in an area of parkland which was originally a medieval deer park. If you park at the suggested co-ordinates, you’ll pass what remains of a WW1 war shrine which has luckily received a Lottery grant and the restoration runs from November 08 to Summer 2010. More information on the restoration and planned events can be found on the links below.

Parking can be found within a few minutes walk of the cache
although it can be a squeeze to fit a very big car through the
gates. This should be an easy enough walk for young geo kiddies but wellies are probably advisable in winter. It is possible to do with a pram although there is one semi-circular style kissing gate to negotiate close to GC.

For a longer walk, the cache can be approached from North Stoneham Church but parking there can be difficult. There is a walkers' day on the first Saturday of each month, when the church car park is open between 10am and 4pm for walkers exploring the North Stoneham area.
