So...Welcome To Montacute! Made famous by its fantastic National Trust property, Montacute House, this village featured in the filming of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility.And more recently - the BBC drama Wolf Hall. There was a medieval priory here, of which the gatehouse remains.
We recommend you park in the Borough, centre of village, and take a short walk to the cache to appreciate the beauty of the village, but it may be possible to bag a parking spot nearer to the cache.
This cache is the Micro of the series, and will probably require stealth to retrieve! We placed it as the sun set, and view of Montacute House, the Abbey and the village rooftops was gorgeous. Make sure you have a look at the view too !
