COG is Hot Hot Hot in January Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

IsqubaAndNawty: A thank-you to everyone attended. A special thanks to those who played along by wearing resort clothing.

A really big thank-you to Tequila who did a great job with the whereigo presentation and demonstration. And a thank-you to River_runr for placing a cache. It is a shame that it is a puzzle cache that is too hard for us to solve and is now driving Isquba crazy.

And a thank-you to Mexicali Rosa’s for providing gift certificates for prizes. And we must not forget to thank Cacher's Toy Box for providing prizes and of course Central Ontario Geocachers for providing a 2009 special edition coin.

Mexicali Rosa’s did a great job serving 100+ people who arrived pretty much at the same time. That is no easy feat.

See you at the next event or on the trails.

Geocache Description:

Greetings Geocachers!

Central Ontario Geocachers want you come in out of the cold and join us with a touch of heat COG style. Prizes will be awarded for the best summery hot dressed teams. So ladies, wear those bikinis over your snow pants, bring out those sombreros you bought while on vacation, show off that Hawaiian shirt and use your imagination to make this cold January day HOT!

Of course, come dressed in your normal geocaching gear if you do not wish to participate in the competition for prizes.

Date: Sunday January 25th, 2009
Time: 12:30pm
Location: Mexicali Rosa’s (check their website for inspiration)

Due to the lack of interest in the buffet, Mexicali Rosa's will be offering ordering from the menu service. In your Will Attend log please indicate the number of adults and children in group.

Tequila has offered to conduct a Wherigo presentation at 1:30pm. As room is limited for the presentation please indicate in your Will Attend that you are interested in learning about Wherigo.

Bonus: Mexicali Rosa’s has free WI-FI so DO bring those WI-FI devices with you to log the geocaches you found on your way to the event. You may need them to solve those elusive puzzles too. We wonder if Mystery Mole and Foresneb the Tird will make an appearance to assist with the puzzle solving.

Bring those geocoins you would like to show, sell or trade. Other trackables are welcome as well.

Put this event on your Watch List to stay informed of changes.

Attendance as of January 20th: 100
We have space for 150
