Every year a movie that most America never saw, and never wants to see, wins the Oscar for "Best Picture of the Year". What a bunch of crap!
The Last Emperor? Out of Africa? Terms of Endearment? Really?.....Really?
Well, allow us to present our own list of, "Best Pictures of the Year" for the years 1974-1983. At each cache you will find a clue bag that will help you identify our pick for that year's Oscar. Can you figure out the clues? Keep track of the movies, and when you have the names of all 10, send an e-mail to texdakota or pacfan and tell us "Our Oscars" in order.
Those who complete the series will be recognized on the cache pages.

1976 was the bicentennial of our great US of A. But there wasn't a single movie that could stand up to our other choices so I chose a movie that started filming in 1976 but was actually released in early 1977, Even today it still fails to get the recognition it deserves. The movie is just out of this world.
