Near a section of town that my Grandfather lived. Terrain is valued due to complexity of area surrounding cache coordinates.
This cache has been placed near the area where my Grandfather resided most of his life. The is in remembrance of his life and some of his history there. Once upon a time, the Gate to the Proving Grounds wasn't where it's placed as it is now. The building just beyond the gate was known as the Marylander which he sometimes frequented.
Mr. Moore had a place over on Mitchell Ave and worked on Edgewood Arsenal / Army Chemical Center 1942 - 1972. He retired from a long career in the Army Civilian Service.
He passed in 1986 from a long battle with Cancer. I miss him dearly to this day. Please visit this cache and enjoy the time spent while we can.
Please replace with care and re-hide as to not be seen accidentally? Stealth is required since area is known to be frequented often during excellent weather. Care is needed during leafy accumulations.
Placed with permission of the City of Aberdeen
CONGRATULATIONS to basketlady_bee and umpire35 for FTF!!
