Green Wheel - Peakirk Revisited Traditional Cache

GESAnderson: When this cache needed checking, I was in 2 minds whether to archive it as I cannot get to it by bike for maintenance trips. I decided that I would replace it and in doing so updated the coordinates as I had moved the cache by a few feet. This was rejected by the reviewer due to being close to a monument, the car dyke canal. I have today removed the cache and I am now archiving it.

Geocache Description:


Originally on the Green Wheel, the cache was moved after being muggled.

The cache remains in the same area and has been moved to a new permissive footpath that has just been opened (Dec 08). To find the start of the path go down Rectory Lane in Peakirk and follow the yellow way posts that take you off to the right at the start of the first field.

The path will lead you to the cache which was left well hidden when placed. There is a small barbed wire fence close to the cache, but does not get in the way of ground zero. You are looking for a small plastic box which is large enough for small swaps.

If you wish to make the walk a circuit, carry on until you get to a bank and what appears to be the end. Go up the bank and then left along the grassed path to pick up the posts again. When you get to a concrete area and a way post with two arrows, go left taking the Public Footpath to return to the start.
