Geocache Description:

Easiest and Safest way is by using trail entrance N 42 27.239 ; W073 07.734 . Or you can park up above on, but do not block, Jericho Rd. Ammo box. Trails is well groomed. GPS is very jumpy. Safe for kids, but adult recommended Because of the stream nearby.

***Location change 7/6/09 do to weather related damage.*** This trail on the Dalton-Hinsdale border blends nature’s beauty with the ruins of a sprawling nineteenth century textile mill. Nearby are the stone foundations, breached dam, and abandoned penstock of a massive mill complex. This unique blend of history and nature make a walk on the Dalton-Hinsdale Greenway Trail a memorable adventure and inspires appreciation and understanding of the river’s importance to the character, health, history, and economy of these riverside towns. This is my first cache. I will be placing a couple more, maybe even a mult-cache soon or in the spring. Enjoy. Remember "Cache in and Trash out".
