Geocache Description:


Errol Station was for a long time a main stop on the Dundee to Perth railway line. It was in operation from 1847 until 1985 when finally it closed. It was recorded that at this time there was only 8-10 passengers using the station a week!! It was operated as a museum from 1990 to 2000 and then bought by a couple who now run it as a gift and coffee shop. It's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The building itself is the original building used as home and work by the station master and his family; the surrounding site is littered with parts of old platforms and rails etc.
