I no longer live in D.C. and haven't officially had anybody take
over the cache, so I'm not able to maintain it anymore. Cachers
have mentioned that the cache is no longer my PVC container but is
now a glass jar. I'm not sure who took it upon themselves to change
out a perfectly good, weatherproof, indestructible container for
something that will probably wind up broken in the garden (and to
remove the brand-new log in favor of a newspaper, apparently?) but
that's what seems to have happened. So I can't really lay claim to
this cache anymore. Below is the former description:
Please replace this cache in the hiding spot where you found it.
Many people use this space and the hiding spot is the only thing
keeping the cache safe from muggles. Thanks!
Cache has a limited amount of space for small trade items, but
please save some room for travel bugs.
You shouldn't need to disturb anything to find the cache. Please
be respectful of the area -- it is maintained by local residents.
They have been kind enough to give their blessing to the cache. :-)
Other muggle activity is low to medium depending on time of day and
the weather.
I recommend visiting this cache in the nicer months of the year,
but it's available anytime. 10-minute walk across Duke Ellington
Bridge from Woodley Park Metro stop. Explore our beautiful
neighborhood if you have time. Bustling Adams Morgan is just a few
blocks to the east as well. Happy hunting!
I have moved away from D.C. and would really like someone to
take over this listing. It would be extremely simple for anybody
within the District or even Maryland or Virginia. I think it's a
great cache, as do most of the people who visit it. Please send me
an e-mail if you could help me out. One of my friends might be able
to tend to the cache if it is in need of repair, but it basically
has no owner. I added a new logbook on 5/19/11.
