Geocache Description:

This being our first cache we wanted to bring people out to a secluded area of Garin Park. Along with many Geocaches, this park offers many great views of The San Francisco Bay Area, and wildlife along with a fishing pond for the kids. In some places you can see Marin County to southern Santa Clara County. We grew up in the area and have been hiking these trails for many years.

Access to this cache can be found in multiple locations. We suggest using the Ziele Creek entrance near (GCPQGV). This is a perfect starting point to enjoy the other caches in the northern end of this park. But there are closer options.

The cache should be a pretty easy find. A .50cal ammo box is kind of hard to miss.
Not too many “muggles” in the area. But you never know who is watching
There is no PO near this cache.
Ticks, Snakes, and the occasional Mountain Lion (Though we have never seen one) have been reported in this park

Please practice CITO on this cache and others you find on your many caching adventures.

Gratz to Geocasual for the FTF

EDIT::1/18/09 it seems that everyone keeps bushwacking to get here. So I just wanted to say that there are trails to this cache and should be an easy hike to it. It is 2.5 only for distance traveled. No need to go up the face of the hillside..
