Geocache Description:

A quick cache n dash which is just a short distance away from our ‘Oldbury Power Station Series’.

You are looking for a small green screw top tube which is placed within a short distance of St Arilda’s Church. The Church, which is situated on top of a knoll can be seen for many miles around, and is named after St Arilda who was martyred for ‘not consenting to lie with the lord of the manor’ in Saxon days. The tower and porch is 15th century but the body of the church was rebuilt after a fire in 1899. For those wishing to stop awhile there is a bench on the far side of the church which affords views of the Severn Estuary and across towards the Forest of Dean. Congratulations to THE CACHTREES and konkerers joint FTF.
